What is the minimum age requirement to rent a car?

Renters must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid drivers license as well as a current auto insurance policy.

Is there a fee for underaged drivers under 25 years old?

No, There is no underage fee when you rent from us. 21 and older pays the same. All you need to show upon booking is a proof of insurance, a valid driver’s license and pay for your rental with a credit card.

Do you have a minimum days requirement for a booking?

Yes and No. The system will only let you book for a minimum of 5 days rental. You are more than welcome to book for 5 days and “return early” just make a note for us at the “comments” box at end of the booking page with your actual return date and time. We will be sure to contact you and verify but this would be the only way to book with us for less than 5 days. Please note that our price will most likely be cheaper then 2 or 3 days elsewhere.

If my flight is delayed and I arrive late at night, can I still pickup my rental car after hours?

Yes. You can pick up your rental car from OGG-Kahului airport at anytime day or night, 24 hours 7 days a week. If you arrive late, your rental car will still be waiting for you at the airport parking lot.

Is there a charge for miles?

No. Free unlimited miles.

What taxes and fees am I paying in addition to my rental rate?

Taxes: The State of Hawaii imposes a surcharge of $5.50 per day for rental vehicles, as well as GET tax (sales tax) of 4.17% on total rental cost.
Fees: A parking fee of up to $24 will required to exit the parking lot at the Kahului Airport for all airport rental pickups. A 15$ parking fee will be applied for reservations with after hours returns at the Kahului Airport (OGG). No deposit and cancelation is free up to 5 days prior to your arrival date and time. cancellation fee is 30% of your reservation total cost.

How do I make changes to my existing reservation?

You can make changes to your reservation via email. Just replay to your reservation confirmation email with your changes and we will take care of it for you. Note that we can only honor changes that we have approved.

What kind of insurance do I get with my rental car?

Our commercial liability insurance policy meets the minimum requirements of the State of Hawaii, it covers body injuries only and will not cover vehicle/property damage. You can choose to add our CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) which will provide you with a full coverage for your rental vehicle with a $1000 deductible.

Can I still rent a car even if I do not have a personal auto Insurance policy?

Yes! If you are an international traveler without an active automobile insurance policy in the US or Canada you would be required to add our “CDW” – Collision Damage Waiver to your reservation. Write down on the required field for Personal auto insurance “CDW”.

Note: If you are living in the US or Canada and do not have an active, valid auto insurance policy you are required to purchase our CDW as well in order to rent from us.

Can I get full coverage on my rental vehicle?

You sure can, by adding a CDW (collision damage waiver) to your reservation when booking your rental car online. This is full coverage for your rental vehicle only.  CDW has a costumer deductible of up to $1,000.

Can you accommodate late arrivals at the Maui Kahului Airport?

Yes, you can pick up your rental car anytime day or night, hassle free with no lines and no shuttles from the Kahului airport (OGG). Only takes minuts from the moment you get your luggage to the time you pick up your rental and drive away. Available 24/7 late arrivals are defiantly possible.

Where do I pickup my rental car once I arrive at the Maui Kahului Airport?

Once you have arrived at the Kahului airport, check your phone to find our pickup & return instructions page link. After picking up your luggage, cross the road outside baggage claim pass the “Train House” straight into the Airport parking lot. Follow the simple instructions on your pickup page which includes a map and photos of your rental.

Where do I drop off my rental car at the end of my trip?

Unless directed otherwise, return your car at the airport parking lot- the same lot you have picked it up from. Park your car and follow the return instructions sent to you via email & text. remember to fuel up prior to your return to avoid the $15 fuel recovery fee. Also clean up the car to the best of your ability to avoid the excessive cleaning fee of up to $150. Smoking inside the vehicle will carry a $250 penalty.

Note: Unless extension was discussed and approved by our office, Late rental returns are subject to a late fee of $100 and an hourly rate of $15 per hour up to the current daily rate.

Do you require a credit card in order to rent a car?

Yes, we except all major credit cards, by paying for your rental car with a credit card you also get an extra insurance from your credit card company.

Do you charge a deposit and is my rental car guaranteed?

We do not charge deposit upon booking and your rental car is guaranteed! Cancellation is free up to 5 days prior to your arrival and is 30% of your reservation total.

Do you accept debit cards or cash payments?

Yes, we do accept debit cards as long as you can provide proof of insurance with a valid auto policy in your name. We accept cash payment although we need to have a credit card on file and see a proof of a valid auto insurance policy.

What is the procedure in the event of an accident?

First make sure everybody is ok, then call 911 and file a police report. Collect insurance and drivers license information from the other party involved. Then, notify us of the situation and we will respond accordingly.

What do I do in case of an emergency such as a flat tire, dead battery, lost key, mechanical issue?

We are quick to replay and help in any event. If you have not purchased “roadside assistance” from us, Contact AAA if you have an account or contact us, we charge  for assistance depends on location and the nature of the problem. Tire replacement, jump start and lockout service. Renter will be charged the full amount for a lost or damaged key, depends on the type. If you are experiencing any mechanical issue with your rental vehicle, we will replace it as soon as possible for no charge, just call (808)866-0286 and press 2.

Can you accommodate long term rentals? & do you offer long term discount?

Absolutely. In fact, we are the perfect choice when it comes to long term car rental on Maui. Our long term rental discount will automatically show when booking online. The longer the duration, the more you save.

Do you accept drivers with an international drivers license?

We sure do. As long as your license is valid and in English. Also if you do not have travelers insurance, a valid policy in the US or coverage from your credit card company you would have to purchase a CDW from us.

What is the fee for returning a rental with less then a full tank of fuel?

A $15 recovery fee will be added to the total for any gas missing on returns with less than full tank.

Do I need to clean the car prior to dropping it off?

Yes, To the best of your ability. Avoid any cleaning fees, please make sure your rental car is not excessively dirty.

Do you offer safety car seats or booster seats? & What is the law in Hawai'i?

Yes. We offer top of the line rental baby seats and boosters. All are clean and in fairly new condition. click here to read more about our baby safety seats. The law in Hawai’i regarding car seats is: “Hawaii law requires children under the age of four to ride in a child safety seat and children ages of four through seven to ride in a child safety seat or a booster seat when traveling in a motor vehicle. The driver will be held responsible for compliance with the law.”

What Is Your Cancellation Policy?

Our cancellation policy is we do not charge for cancellations outside of 5 days from your arrival. Should you decide to cancel within the 5 day window, your cancellation fee is 30% of your reservation total before tax. For example, if your reservation total is $1,000.00 and you decide to cancel within 5 days from your arrival, your cancellation fee is $300. To cancel your reservation click Cancel Reservation.

Am I allowed to drive on the Road To Hana?

Yes, You CAN drive on the road to Hana on Hana Hwy. The only restriction is the back road, you are allowed to drive on Hana Hwy all the way to the 7 sacred pools (O’heo Gultch) in Kipahulu District of Haleakala National Park and drive back the same way. Continuing on Hana Hwy would result In the renter taking responsibility in case of damage to the rental vehicle within the back roads. Renter agrees to pay charges as followed: Flat tire: $300-$500 for pickup from the renters location depend of time, $1000 for the tow service, $500-$700 for the damage of the rim/tire
